About Us
Six months after joining the work force, Ross Grant decided that working was a "lousy way to make a living". So on that day he started planning for retirement. "The spreadsheet guy" began crunching numbers to see what the magic retirement year would be. Every year he updated his retirement model, revised the numbers with actual results and polished the model to make it more accurate. About 20 years later Ross, together with his wife Shal, retired shortly after turning age 43. Many friends and family members were curious as to how they were able to reach retirement at such an early age. Some openly discussed it, while others were convinced they had secretly won a lottery.

After taking Ross' original model and fine tuning it to make it more user friendly to a broad user community, they now have a product that others can use.
The "What IF" Retirement Planner© helped them answer these questions:
At what age can we retire? How much is enough to enjoy our current lifestyle into retirement? How does our nest egg grow over time? What if our return on investment decreased, how long will we need to continue working? What if our return on investment decreased, how would this affect our nest egg?
And so the "What IF" scenarios continued. So did the answers to their questions as they continued to use the "What IF" Retirement Planner©. The model is simple and provides very useful reports and summaries to answer the above questions (and MANY more) based on your personal situation. The model is flexible so you can try out as many scenarios as you wish and use the results to help you in your decision making.

The "What IF" Retirement Planner© is their first product developed. However, as they continue to discuss retirement, budgeting, investing and many other topics with friends, family and colleagues, they now have a funnel of ideas for other models, tips and tools that they continue to develop to share with others.
